Mountain Vibes owner, Mari Orlando, has always looked for treasures in her adventures around the world. In 2018, she turned her passion into a business.

I moved to Lake Tahoe in 2009, leaving behind my career as a lawyer in my hometown of Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. 10 years later, I was raising my two young boys at home and wondering what happened to my career aspirations.

The inspiration for Mountain Vibes came from my own experience searching the Lake Tahoe area for that perfectly “effortless” and curated look, while I was managing our home renovations. I began traveling around the lake, collecting items with my two boys in tow. Finding unique furniture was such a thrill for me. I loved finding and lending these treasures out to friends and family. 

Mountain Vibes was created in 2018, when I decided that I could make a business out of collecting and curating unique pieces, while also indulging my passion for interior design and my joy of creating art. If there was something that a client wanted that I could not find, I would build it. 

Today, Mountain Vibes specializes in providing those unique touches that your guests will remember at weddings or other important events. My clients get that instagram-worthy look for a fraction of the cost of purchasing, moving, and/or storing items you would only use once. Mountain Vibes is right here between Truckee and Tahoe, so you are working with a local team and don’t need to deal with large companies in Los Angeles or San Francisco!
